Every April

Shut for Vintage, 1-14 April

Pinned inside the door

Every year we shut for the first fortnight of April, the 1st to the 14th. It's vintage.

I've picked at the same Syrah block out at Bridge Pa every autumn since 2014, and the shop deserves a rest as much as I deserve purple hands.

Back on the 15th, probably sunburnt.

Thursday delivery and special orders pause for the fortnight too, and pick up again the week the door reopens.

Hawke Bay with Napier marked An outline of Hawke Bay from the Māhia Peninsula in the north-east round to Cape Kidnappers in the south, with the Heretaunga Plains and two rivers inland. Napier is marked with a single inked dot inside a teal ring, beside the Bluff. No streets are drawn. Napier

Where

Napier, Hawke's Bay

Ask anyone near the Bluff.

Napier is small enough that the town will point you to us, and once you're close the window bench and the bike hoop out front give it away. Visitors tasting the Bay without a designated driver tend to start here and save themselves a day of cellar doors.

hello@tastevio.com

We answer within a day, except in April.

Private tastings, groups of six or more, special orders and Bay Dozen pick-ups all start with a note to that address.
